• 1996 – 1997: PhD student at the Institute of Cell Biology and Genetic Engineering (Kiev, Ukraine);
• 1997 –2002: research assistant at the Institute of Pharmacy (Mainz, Germany); 1997-1998: participation in the work on the project „Molecular Characterization of New Hybrid Plants and Cell Cultures“ supported by BMBF, (Ref. No. 0311269); 01.10.1998-31.03.1999: DAAD stipendium for the project “Phytochemische Charakterisierung der transgenischen Wurzelkulturen einiger Apocynaceae Pflanzen”
