Personal History and Education:

I have graduated from the Azerbaijan State University in Baku city. I received a speciality in the field of Applied Nuclear Physics in the Department of Physics in 1973. After graduation from the Azerbaijan State University I worked as senior engineer at the Department of Radiation Research of Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences from 1973 till 1976. In 1976 I entered the Department of Biophysics and Radiobiology of the Institute of Plant Physiology of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences in Kiev as postgraduate student.

Later on my work and research experiences included:

  • 1979-1989 - Institute of Agriculture of the Ministry Agriculture of the Azerbaijan Republic, Institute of Genetics and Breeding of the Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences, Baku city - Senior scientific researcher,
  • 1989-1994 - Department of Biophysics and Radiobiology of the Institute of Cell Biology and Genetic Engineering of Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, Kiev - Senior scientific researcher,
  • 1994-1996 - Head of the Department 'Exploitation of information system for datum obtained about Chernobyl accident' MEDECOL LTD, Ukraine, Kiev,
  • 1996 - up to now - Invitation Professor in Shevchenko State University, Kiev
  • 1996 - 2003 - Department of Biophysics & Radiobiology of the Institute of Cell Biology and Genetic Engineering National Academy Sciences of Ukraine, Kiev - Senior scientific research worker.
  • 2003 - up to now - Head of Lab. Biophysics Signal System of Plant of the Department of Biophysics & Radiobiology of the Institute of Cell Biology and Genetic Engineering National Academy Sciences of Ukraine, Kiev.
  • 2005 - up to now - Associated Professor, Head of the Chair of of Plant Physiology and biochemistry of the National Agrarian University, Kiev.

To defend a thesis

  • In March 1982 - I defended dissertation as a Candidate of Sciences (Ph.D.) in Moscow city, Russia in the Institute of Biological Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the former USSR. Thesis was named "The Method of Trapped Dose Accumulation in the Formation Radiation Effects for Plants".
  • In June 1994 - I defended dissertation as a Doctor of Biological Sciences (Dr.Sc.) in Kiev city, Ukraine in the F.E.Kavesky Institute of Experimental Pathology, Oncology and Radiobiology of the National Academy Sciences of Ukraine. Thesis was named "Modification effects in irradiated plants under the influence of thermal neutrons due to formed capture dose".
